Hi everyone,
I have been making some changes and finally made the jump into my 57. I will be doing a full build thread soon, but for now here is a sneak peek.

New skimmer Eshopps Psk-100 from Shoreline Pet & Aquarium. It's a tight fit with my sump setup but it def. works just a few days in and it's pulling nice skimmate. This is the first new skimmer I have ever owned and I am very happy with it so far! Working out the balance of the tank right now trying to get through some uglies. All inhabitants seem pretty pumped with the new system.

So Tuesday night I came home from work and found a leaking sump and nearly empty 5 gallon bucket of kalk from my ATO!!!! NOT good. I had to figure out a solution quick. I shut down all water movement and started draining the sump. I end finding my Yasha goby, he must have ridden the overflow express!

So once the sump was drained and removed from the stand I needed to find another option for a new sump, even if temporary. In the stand there was a platform that was very limiting to what would fit, I chose to remove it. Without the platform I had more room to work with and more options. This is where being a bit of a tank hoarder comes in handy. I could choose from my 20 Long, 29, 10, or a 5.5, I also have a 40B, 50g acrylic cube, a 55 and a 90 at my disposal .

I currently have the 20 set up as QT and didn't want to try and deal with a full sanitization, so it was the 29 or the 10 as the only real options. The 29 could just squeezi in the stand and I thought it would be best to keep the volume of water as large as possible, and give me the chance to fit my equipment.

The sump revamp lead to organizing my wiring (finally and there is still a ton to do to bring up to par with some setups), adding the Santa Monica Filtration Hog .5 (won at CMAC) and kept me out of bed until 3am!

Here are a few picks from the progress:

Look at this mess!!

Just released my Yellow Eye Kole tang out of QT into the display and he is loving it! Picking up a new wrasse and purple tang at the end of the week to go into QT.

Ohhhh....I decided that a 57 though awesome, is just not going to be big enough. I picked up a 90 RR and 40B sump a few weeks back and am going to make the upgrade really soon. Working on stand design now and the equipment list!!

Looking for some help on the stand build currently.....

Here is what I am thinking for equipment: 3 Black Box LEDs supplemented by 2 48" twin tube t5ho's. In a custom canopy.
Sicce Snycra Pro 1000 (not sure if this is the correct pump, too much/little flow?)
3 Jeabo RW-4's or use the 2 I have and add a RW-8 for random flow.
Aqueon Pro 250w heater and a 150w for redundancy.
3 BRS 1.1mL dosers
Tunze ATO
Vertex Omega 180i

New sump looks like it'll get the job done admirably, and I'm curious about that upflow algae scrubber - never heard of that gadget, LOL! Always something new 'round the corner!!

Hope that kalk didn't cause too much damage . . .

Oh my you got the bug really bad lol. I was gonna say it already looks like you need more space. You'll enjoy the 90g for sure. The width is pretty sweet.

You should sell off some of those tanks and invest in some brs dosers. Set them and forget. Almost.
