Curious what salt mix are you using?

TM Bio-Actif. It is Pro reef but with their Reef-Actif mixed in. Which is a seaweed based mild carbon dosing. I do like it. The good and the bad of it is you have to use it right away (24hrs) to get the most out of it. It keeps you from putting off your water change once you mix it.
But heres the kicker... 30% of my water change water is NSW mixed in. My temperate tank is 100% NSW for water changes. Previously I used Brightwell Neomarine which I was happy with, which I might go back to if the cost of Tariffs, affect TM too much.

I seem to have trouble with my zoas, almost as if some are shrinking in size and others are doing well. I’m using Nyos mix, i did notice with my perams everything is low, i mix to 1.026 tested with tropic marin hydrometer so i know its dead on, but alk is always around 7.7 at times, along with all other perams being low, but the mix says i should be roughly around 8.5 all but i only have maybe 10 frags of zoa which i don’t understand. I’m doing all for reef to sustain my alk which i shouldn’t with almost no coral.
I have 0 coralline algae, so no reason why my calcium shouldn’t be high if i’m doing all for reef at least to tell me i’m doing for no reason.

I try to keep my DKH about upper 7's to 8. My zoas go crazy in my frag tank. High Light and High Flow. Live Phyto daily. I run AFR in my tanks. My 30g is mostly a softy tank and I run 5ml of AFR daily.

Some really beautiful pics in this thread. Did you go with a prodigy overflow on your flag tank as well? I've been planning out a build and wondering if the extra cost is worth it on the prodigy M?

Yes, I did do the prodigy on the frag. The advantages of the Prodigy are sits flush against the inside of the glass ( both the eclipse and prodigy do this) the prodigy has a covering over the inside box, the eclipse does not. Other brands use bulkheads and the overflow slips inside, but you have a 1/4 gap behind the box. The only change I made was on the outside box I made a black acrylic lid to keep the light out. Right now I would not choose another.

Thank you info. I'm planning on converting my 22g long to salt water. Space is definitely a premium. I think u just sold me on the prodigy.

Now to decide on a peninsula layout or rear mount overflow...

Probably would get better flow with a rear mounted box

I see the radion 4th gen with the blades, are those the glows or grows?

What's up? My secret? pretend zoas are pest like aptasia and they will grow out of control... I don't even try... I run grows with my gen 4's. Par is 250+ depending, high flow with a gyre over the top, AFR, lighting for the XR30 is A+B + whites (WWC preset). Nutrients 10ish No3 and .1 ish Po4. Live phyto CHA, TET, and ISO.

Sounds about right. The grows have a lot of white in them also. The tanks only get real "blue" a couple hours before shut down.
