It's Just a Tank

This morning, he was out in the same spot. Dead center of the tank.

I tried to center this hopefully he feels better. I don't like the exposed foot. Dug a hole, put lta in hole, covered the hole with a couple of rocks. Not laying on the lta's foot, more like a cave.


I got no idea what I am doing ;(

How deep is yr sandbed ? And tbh I would just let it be , I’ve tried moving / digging holes but the lta ultimately decided where it wants to be. One time it did not settle for two days , just completely out in the open lol. Second pic is it’s happy spot. And they can dig for themselves

2" sand bed. I'll let it be.

It definitely varies , I’ve seen happy LTA in bare bottom. I think 2 inch should be enough , you can always add more sand or use a container to house LTA with deep sand bed if it never really settles

He likes dead center of tank at night. I'll let him roam. I don't want to inflict anymore stress.

I almost bought a clay pot to literally plant it inside the tank like a flower haha but decided against it , knowing the lta it would leave the pot and make me look dumb

Inventory. I'm not a fan of ordering ribbons online. Seeing if the lfs can get 1 or 2 in. Ny aquatics has them in. But, the guy never replied to email or dm.

Petes aquarium has some in. I doubt they'd give me an honest answer on health.
