Hello acquired this little guy this week… I think he’s some type of urchin…. He spends all his time under the sand sifting. Thanks

Yeah, that's a heart urchin - possibly the Irregular Heart Urchin/Tiny Maretia Heart Urchin, Maretia planulata?

Most pics show the tops rather than the sides like OP's pic, but you can find some for decent comparison in the links below - and they're sediment-feeders (sand-sifters), so I'd expect them to be plowing through the sand frequently:

Makes me want more unique critters rather than pincushion, tuxedo or pencil as typically found. Flowers look great and I can keep
My hand away but the potential fish pay will the price. I want what not many others would have.
