The tank has gone through a good amount of changes since I last posted. I have replaced my PS2 skimmer with an Innovative Marine Minimax desktop reactor running RowaPhos. Removed some live rock and added livestock. Added a Jebao DP-4 doser and dosing with ESV 2 part system. And added an XP Aqua Duetto ATO and Synergy Reef Systems Atomic Green ATO Container.

Looking great.
What salt are you using and what is your maintenance routine?

Still thinking about getting the mandarin? How are the pods from the fuge? Think you have enough to support one? Im considering setting one up.

I had one but it jumped out of the tank before I made the screen top. I have more than enough pods to support one. Have you set a fuge up?

No, my tank ended up having a huge cyno outbreak. I tried like crazy to get rid of it but to no avail. It killed all my corals... so i shut it down about 6 months ago. But now im reinvigorated to try another attempt. Got some fixes for possible cyno outbreaks, and more time at home to research causes and fixes for issues. One issue i face is not having an lfs in podunk southern oregon... but i have a fish guy... so we will see

Nice tank. Why replace the skimmer? Isnt skimmer supposed to be better than just a reactor? I'm thinking about skimmer vs small back refuge for mine.

I got a question for you. Have you ever heard of someone using both intank chambers 1 and 2 media shelves? I purchased both today and was thinking of using one as a refugium. Any thoughts?

I didn't have a need for the skimmer anymore. I have nitrates under control with my weekly 30% water changes. I was having phosphates issues so I opted to attack that.
