I decided to pull the trigger on an AI Prime HD should be here on Wednesday. Looking forward to taking the lighting to the next level. Those of you that have the Prime HD what do you keep your settings at. Please post them if possible.

Large update:

Got my new AI Prime HD on Wednesday but sadly it was broken. It would not boot up and kept flashing red. I contacted AI and they are replacing it. But in the meantime I got another one since I couldn't wait. Lol

I'm interested to see what the temp of the tank will be now that the hood is off. I have shut off the fan above the tank.

I picked up some zoas and a neon green trumpet last weekend also

I unfortunately found my chestnut cowrie eating the gsp so he has been removed.

The Ultra Orange Octospawn I ordered came in and I'm going to look at it today. I'll post some pics of it if I can.

My beloved hammer isn't doing well, I've moved it all over the tank to different lighting and flow areas with no change in health. I'm not sure if it will survive. Everything else in the tank is doing fantastic.

Sweet tank. I wonder if your hammer might appreciate some nitrate in the tank? When I started my tank my zoas faded to almost nothing because I was running it too clean. Went on vacation for 2 weeks and came back to a slightly dirty tank and zoas back from the dead. Now I feed reed roids every few days. Zoas are booming

Thanks! I have actually been trying to raise the nitrates, I haven't done a water change in 6 weeks but it's still <2ppm. My lfs thinks the cherub angle has a taste for it. But I haven't seen it go near the hammer.

This is the lighting schedule I am running. I currently have the acclimation function running and limiting everything to 30% except UV which is at 15% and cool white at 10%.

Hi Guys. So I decide to change the lighting schedule to an AB+ with respiration.

I also have a small cyano problem that I am dealing with. I will be physically removing as much as I can and increasing flow to those areas as best as possible. I purchased a sicce 1.0 return pump to help and may decide to put my hydor 425gph powerhead back in.

I was having an alkalinity problem and found out it was my ato water. My filters were going bad on my ro/di unit. Changed filters no more problems.
What RODI unit do you have? Mine have been in place for about 4 months now - I have Melev's Reef 5 stage and have yet replaced anything... just curious...

I decided that my last fish for the tank would be a Mandarin.

So with the advice of my lfs I set up the 2nd chamber as a Refugium using the intank media basket. I have cheato in the first and second levels and I cut the original filter from the evo to fit inside the third level with biomax media. I purchased a led clip on desk light for the cheato.

I have 5280 pods on order from algae barn to seed it.

Looking forward to seeing what happens.

I have been playing with the idea of adding 2nd chamber as a Refugium with cheato. How is the protein skimmer working for you? I pulled mine out as i could not get it dialed in. I would love to try the Triton method, but not sure if it would work without a protein skimmer and if the Refugium is large enough

I also want a Mandarin and so I might switch to a Refugium for one of the chambers

My protein skimmer works fine. It takes a bit to get it dialed in. I havent even looked in the Triton method lol.

The refugium cost to set up was just the $10 clip on desk light. We will see what happens.
