So i have a japanese dragon eel and an African dragon eel together for about 6 months and they get along no problems at all. The other day I noticed this on his tail. They did knock over a rock the other day and don't know of it just got caught under it or if there's a disease or anything it could be? Theyve both been eating great and have been acting normal. Any suggestions at all? Anything i should be treating the tank with?

So I've been watching them and my african has a couple small spots on his side and I just watched them for a bit and it seems like the African is kind of not nipping at the Japanese but getting right up on him and they seem to be like getting irritated with eachother. I've owned a gold spotted moray before and he passed from a massive tank crash a long long time ago. So not real hip on the eel diseases.

This sure looks like an eel bite to me. Infection can sometimes set in with these, but usually eels heal pretty well. However, it may happen again. You should consider separating the fish - a tank divider perhaps.

Thanks for the response. Anything i should do to help it heal or prevent infection?

Not in a display tank. If the lesion worsens or grows larger, you would need to move the fish to a treatment tank and dose with a broad spectrum, gram negative antibiotic like Neoplex or Kanaplex.
