I had a custom modular marine overflow built for this tank. It has a 36" internal overflow and an external that was built to match the holes that were drilled by custom aquarium.

The internal overflow sits off the glass some and this allows it to skim water from all sides within the tank. PXL_20210530_032233414.jpg

The external box has a notch that accommodates for the trim on the tank so the box fits flush against the rest glass. PXL_20210530_032432697.jpg

Slow on the build over here.

Been working on infrastructure and life support for this tank.

Swapped out my old mixing station in the garage for some new bigger tanks.

The old setup was a 100g and 65 gallon tank.

The new setup is 2 300 gallon tanks so I'll have the ability to have 600 gallons on hand. I had to rebuild the structure around it and redo the RO unit. I also upgraded to the 3 DI resin setup from bulkreef and updated the membranes so it is a 200GPD setup now.

Next i built a storage box for salt storage instead if just piled on the floor. I repurposed most of the wood that the tank was shipped in.

I was able to use an old Jebao pump as the mixing pump I had left over from an old setup I bought from a guy and flipped most of the equipment.

Going through my old plumbing box I had some really good Asahi SCH 80 union ball valves I utilized.

I bought some of the 3D printed neat aquatics things from BRS as well to clean up RO tubing.

Jason how is the build going?
I've made some progress. Little by little in my free time. I try to think 3 steps ahead and plan everything out, so things that should take shorter take me longer when I change my mind.

I've completed the lighting just this week. The cord control took me about 3 nights to finish. I took pics along the way. I'll get a good update this week.

Lol this is absurd
What do you do for a living?
i have nearly $5k into a nano so what do you have here? 40k?
keep the pics coming
Lol trust me I think the same thing when I see others.
This tank has been years in the making, collecting gear as I went, long before I even had the tank.

I'm well beyond $5k , but no where near $40k. I buy things along the way so it's not some huge lump sum all at once.

I'll get a total at the end, I won't like it but I hope it sets me up for success in my husbandry with the tank. I'm a gear head and I've been in the hobby a long time so in comparison to when I first got started with a skilter filter to now things have changed and I try and take advantage of anything that helps monitor the tank and makes it more automated.

But you can have an the best equipment in the world and the tank will still do what it wants to.

Do you have a battery backup plan in place?
