I'm new to this but I would guess the cloudiness is from either bad flow or you need a sponge filter in the sump.


As for the SCA, it seems like the deal on the market.

Looking great so far. I have a 60"x24"x24" tank that I am setting up now, with the synergy overflow. Looks like we have similar setups. Know what your plan is for the flow? My tank will be a peninsula, so I was trying to get away with only having powerheads on one end-- I have an MP40 and an MP60 right now.
