Today is moving day.
I rented 2 uhaul vans (instead of one truck so we could regulate the temperature better)
Have 24 totes from Home Depot and 10 5g buckets from my ESV chemicals over the years. They are great because they have a rubber seal.
Coral, rock and water will go into the totes.
Fish will go into the buckets.
Wish me luck!!!

Wow, what a day.
First coral came out of the original setup at 12:20. Last coral went into the new system at 7:30.
Everything went very smooth. I had 20 tots that when filled 80% of the way held 55L of rock and water. 3 teams x 7 trips each later and we had the uhauls loaded (2 vans). Fish went into the 5g cotaniers.
I didn't bring any sand. Figured the bacteria in the base rock was good enough as I layered the bottom rocks the same way in the new setup.
There were definitely temperature fluctuations with the brisk 5 degree Celsius weather, but overall I don't thing anything fell off the rails too far. It was a 15km trip from the condo to the house.
Everything seems to be running well. Most of the fish have come out of hiding.
Tomorrow I'll install the lights and get the apex up and running then I'll be able to tell really how the system is doing. So amazing having my tank back!! It's been nearly 2 months of going back and forth between the old condo and the new house to feed the fish and maintain the system. Waking up tomorrow morning and having a coffee in front of aquarium is going to be a little slice of heaven.

So far so good.
Just over 2 weeks in the new house. Everything is going well. So far no fish and no coral causalities.
I have a bit of a Dino bloom, which I have had in the past so I'm not freaking out about it. Just going to maintain stability and nutrients to get the natural bacterial system up to speed.
The one "problem" I'm running in to is with regards to my pH. I'm fluctuating between 7.8 and 8.0. Though not terrible I would really like to pump up those numbers. To accomplish this first I need to figure out a way to draw fresh air from outside into the skimmer. If that doesn't solve the problem I will start using kallwasser for my top off.
But right now I'm just happy to have everything here, have all my systems running, and have everything looking healthy.

update:
Everything is looking good. The Dino bloom is settling. The fish have gotten use to their new aquascape and the corals are starting to look healthier. Fingers crossed but so far no fish or coral casualties in the move.
Here's a pic of the tank today.
