Yes I have always run charcoal 24/7 and change it out every other month. I use charcoal because I like the way charcoal polishes the water.

Great looking tank! Read through this threaf to see it's progression, has come a long way.

I need to thin out or completely remove the green mushrooms on the left. They are taking over the tank. Any idea how to get them off the rock without removing the rock itself.

I am not sure, I usually just do it the hard way and tear my tank apart and get the hammer and chisel out. Only issue with that is then you have to slightly re-scape the tank if you are like me and forget how it was. lol
