I used to have a 16 feet from basement to DT. Used a Panworld 200 pump.So anyone have a basement or a large my run sump? If so what do you use as a return pump?
Stick with the Reeflo
I’ve been using mine in the basement for almost 5 years and have only put 3 seal rebuild kits on it.
It’s an awesome pump.
I have also used Jebao for years- wavemakers/DC pumps/Gyre/doser.
Currently have the DC-15000 running on my skimmer with needle wheel.
Heck even the 2 top dog DC pumps that cost around 2K, which I refuse to pay have had allot of issues as well. I followed that thread here as well. Lots of over heating isssues and replacements on the Abyzz. They seems to get it worked out in the thread but wow.....for that much money. The same thread had some reviews of the red dragon as well and they seemed fairly well, but then again you almost at 2k.
Does anyone ever consider a swimming pool pump? I have a Hayward variable speed pump on my pool that has digital control and programming. Plenty of pump power. Look at Amazon...Hayward pool pumps... variable speed. So my basement sump aquarist what are your feelings on using a Jeabo DCP 18000? I have approximately 280 gallons of water approximately 16’ from my pump to my return. As of right now I use a Reeflo hammerhead/barracuda hybrid but I really want a DC pump. Abyzz is my dream but at $2200 a pop it’s not in the cards. So hello Jeabo. Is it worth it? I don’t know... I run one on my stand alone 65 gallon seahorse stable and it works great. Thoughts? Suggestions? Is there an alternative or don’t fix what’s not broken? I want DC because I believe it will use less wattage and because I want to control flow for feed modes (current way just shuts the pump off and makes all kinds of noise)
