Jebao RW-4 night mode question

Hello RW-4 owners, Mine is set up to W1 mode with the slowest speed but when light is out, why is it turning it to the Else mode? My expectation it will be on the same mode which is W1 but less flow/power/speed? Any similar situation? Thanks.

The controller is probably bad. Mine acts crazy too. I put mine in feed mode sometimes and it will run full out.
