I ran two rw4s on my 30 and had them on the lowest setting, if you are going to run one I'd go with the 8. They are all smaller than hydors if you can see those in person to get an idea. The rw4 is about the same size as the old hydor nano and like 5 times more powerful.

I had 2 RW4's on my BC29. Specifically so I could change up the flow as needed/wanted and have another "source point" in the tank for flow.

Exactly depends on what you trying to do, with one just more flow some circulation. With two you can have alternating cross flow action, helps prevent dead spots, and gives a nice pattern for flowing corals like euphylias and such.

I have a pp-4 in my 30 gal, runs at 75% max during wave. If I left it on 100% steady it is way too much. I have a second pp-4 on the way to replace my Korila just because I really like the way you can run all kinds of flow patterns. I expect to dial down the first pp4 max wave crest once the second one goes into action.
When these pumps run below 25% they can stall. For that reason I wouldn't get a RW8. ...it's minimum setting without stalling might be much more flow than you want at times
