I hate bioballs! Nothing but a gunk trap! LR rubble is a better option for biological filtration IMHO.

I like the bioballs, each one has the surface area equivalent of 5lbs of rock, nothing a lil stir n siphon won't fix!

Got my intank basket today. Im waiting on my media to get here before I install it. It is very well made. Very sturdy feeling.

I'm planning on purchasing a media basket for my 14g biocube as well. I want to take out the bioballs and start modding. Please let me know if you had any problems with installing the in tank's basket!

Thx!

So I am fed up my coralife biocube skimmer I purchased. I really do not like the airstone design. SO I have compiles a list of Nano type skimmers that use pumps instead. I have only used the Reef Octopus nano skimmer and it was ok... no the best but ok. Tell me what you all think.

I got my InTank media basket installed to. I'm running filter floss in the top, Chemipure in the middle, and purigen in the bottom.

It is awesome. It seriously improves the flow. I hope it will help with everything else.

My biggest recommendation is if you plan on using one of these get the media basket installed before you set up the tank.
