Just wanted to post some pictures up of an amazing old school reef builders tank. Back in the 80s and 90s my dad was huge into orchids and African cichlids and I love hearing the stories of the hunt you used to have to go on before the internet to different nurseries and aquarium stores to find what you were looking for, the old school way. This tank reminds me of that and is how I am planning my new SPS build, old school classics that grow well. There is no $800 Tenuis in this tank, a lot of stags, montipora, and some speciosa along with a couple other deep water varieties and I personally think it’s absolutely bad to the bone.

Love that tank! How many tanks do you have setup? I see so many behind you.

not my system. This is a tank that was in the reef builders studio, I just posted it because it’s a favorite of mine and sometimes I get tired of seeing Walt disney frags and the “hot” corals of today. This is a sick tank full of what most people today would call easy beginner corals, except the speciosa of course
