Hey yall. I just purchased the small icecap algae scrubber. It seems very nice and I am excited to try it. I really love the idea of concentrating algae growth in a "container" so to speak. I have a 40b with a 29 sump so I'm assuming 50-60 gallons of water so i believe the small one should work fine. I will update my success or failure with this product. Hopefully it will help stop the growth in my display as well.

Nice—where did you purchase it? Not seeing too many places stocking it at this point.

Awesome!!! It looked really impressive when I saw it recently - I look forward to hearing your feedback!

The @CoralVue website also has a store locator for those who want to buy it locally.

What changes have you noticed since adding yours?
I added mine at the beginning of my Red Sea Reefer 525XL build. 2 year 4 months old now. I have noticed my nutrients stay low even with feeding 3x a day with 24 fish. My last test yesterday Nitrates were 8ppm and Phos was .05

Ok so everything came in and it's all hooked up. I will be posting some pics. Just had a quick question. They say the proper flow is 250gph. That's 4 gpm. That is crazy flow. I timed my sink at home and it only flows at 2 gpm. I cant see this being able to handle that kind of flow. I opened the valve up pretty far and the whole unit started to flood. Also the the header holes became beams of water. Anyone have any idea lol

I set mine so a steady sheet of water flows across the screen. It's not very strong. I'll see if I can get a quick vid.

Ok awesome. I'm going to mod the pipe a bit. I think the holes are too small so it creates a jet. Thank you!

Do these sit in the sump or on top and if on top how are they supported? I don't have a lot of room under the tank and am wondering if this is doable.

By the looks of the Icecap ATS, you would have to mount it above the sump as the light fixtures are not waterproof. I built PVC crossbars to span my sump to support my Turbo’s Aquatics ATS above my Trigger 26 sump. Second photo has the endplate removed so you can see the ATS better.
