Dang bro. I make family and close friends my #1 in life. THere is nothing more important.. money, materials, and everything else can be replaced. You are right about making amends with everyone cause you never know what you have until its gone.. Even now when my two kids fight, i make them say sorry and kiss and make up. i tell them they cannot go to bed mad at each other.. EVERRR!!! . they dont understand why now , but they will one day. Sorry for your loss im also glad to hear you got to say your goodbyes. IM a PM away if you ever wanna talk reef to get your mind away from everything for a few minutes.

Thx everyone. My dad and I were able to say our goodbye's. I was acting tough for my family but today...by myself...is the worse part of it all. Thank god for my wife and son.

I've not yet had to experience losing a close family member (unless you count my dogs or the fish I've lost) so I can only begin to imagine how it feels. Must be beyond words.

so sorry for your loss. I experienced an extremely painful loss of my best friend last August. Her sister has had a very difficult time with the loss as we all have. It has been very comforting to get together pretty regularly with a group of people that knew and loved her. Her sister also contributes to a private blog we started. The pain will get better but it will be raw for a while. I remember thinking when I lost my mom whether the deep grief would ever get better. It did but it was a slow process. I hope these comments are helpful.

So sorry for your loss! My Grandma, who was 102 yrs old passed on Tuesday and my Mom passed in August. The circumstances may be different, but one thing stays the same, we can never make a new memory with them. We must hold onto the best of them. (((Hugs!)))
