My first build thread!!! And lovin’ it!

I’ve contemplated doing one of these a few different times, but never followed through. I’m currently in the process of down-sizing and switching back from T5 to LED – breaking down my Fusion 20. I went with the 20 so that I could use a T5 fixture (ATI bulbs) to house some nice rainbow acans. As I’m sure you all know, focus/interests tend to change in this hobby and I’m now going back to my first love – zoas.

Before the Fusion 20 I had a Nuvo 8 and before that a Red Sea Max 130D.

Here’s the build:

Tank:
IM Fusion 10

Lighting:
AI Prime with mount (modified mount to lower fixture as much as possible as I have limited height to work with)

Flow:
RW-4
Included Return Pump (might upgrade later, but with the RW-4 I don’t see a need)

Heating:
Fluval E-Series 50 Watt

Water Filtration/Media:
inTank Media Basket
CaribSea Arag-Alive Hawaiian Black Sand (about 1 ½ inches)
1Med-Lrg live rock – going with minimalistic rockscape

Looking to get an IM Ghost Nano Skimmer or PicO skiM 2.0

Control:
Apex Jr. w/temp probe
Tunze Nano Osmolator ATO

Fish and Invertebrates:
Black ice Clownfish
CUC (mix snails, blue and red hermit crabs)
Thinking of going a different direction:
Tail Spot Blenny
Pink-streaked Wrasse

Coral:

Zoas/Palys:
Hallucinations
ASD CAO
Orange Rainbow Infusion\
K-tar G-Hornets
Unattainable Paly
Rastas
Blondies
Utter Chaos
Fruit Loops
KH Sunburst
God of War
Roulettes
Poison Pox Paly
JF Crazy Ladies
Bright Yellow minis

Misc:
No-Name favia from Fish2Morrow (too amazing to not have a name so I’m working on it)
Tyree War & Peace favia
RR Loki favia
Darth Maul favia
ASD Flamethrower favia
No-Name green and powder blue favia
War favia
Gonzo’s Misfit WM Chalice
ASD Flamethrower Chalice
ASD Inferno WM Chalice
A handful of no-name acans from Sexy Corals
ASD Golden Age Gorgonian

Not great pics - using iPhone with an orange gel filter

Overall - I'm pretty happy. Had a few "frustrations", but it went much smoother than I thought.

Nice tank! You got rid of your 20g and I actually want a 24 inch long tank so that I can use my T5 fixture properly. Go figure.

I'm thinking of getting an IM 10 gallon for raising live foods/utility tank. Is the width of the back chambers 4 inches like the other fusion tanks?

Update! I've traded and sold 80% of my Zoas and have gone fishes (partially intentional ). The plan is now... chalices . I still have my rainbow acans - even added a few more. I've struggled taking pics, but should have some more soon.
