Hi, I just got a noopschee k7 lV and need some help with the setup. Doesn't seem to be any on the videos they post on their link just for the K7 lll. Anyone have any suggestions? When I went to the app from the QR code I got a message that it's a dangerous site and I just have my phone wife has computer on a trip.

I have this light for a reef that's new, just a pair of black misbar clowns, coral banded shrimp, small lettuce, small green mushroom, a soft coral that looks like a toadstool but don't think it is and hermit crabs, astria snails, sand sifting star. I took my rose anemone out it hated the lights I had in the tank.

I have a small 20 gallon flat back hex with a 10 gallon refugium that's growing chardo well and staying pretty clean. Nitrates run 10-25. PH good and other tests in normal range. Algae I have to scrape about weekly but it's not terrible. Tank is only 4 months old. I have about an inch sand in bottom lots of rock but I glued them together so it just one long rock from end to end with plenty of room around to swim and grow. Probably 15#.

Looks like you cannot adjust the light without the app it only has an L and R button and they both seem to turn light on or off.

Any help would be appreciated,
Thanks in advance,
Jerry

I have the K7 III. I'm assuming the app is the same for yours, but I could be, and frequently am, wrong.
Don't try to connect through Wi-Fi, I'm not sure it has ever worked, just connect using the AP connection.

As far as percentages just pick what looks good to you. I'm growing a mixed reef with a few different types of SPS and my max setting is 25%. My lights are about 6" above the water and I'm getting about 250 PAR on the top of my rocks.
Edit: Heres my settings

app is the same between III and IV - its kind of a pain but once set its good.
channels are the same.
I do not use the QR yet. i have messed with the Chart like posted above. pretty simple. just kinda time consuming.

I currently just run the SPS presetting. works fine. There is BeAnAnimals QR generator and it works pretty good. I will dive more into that when i have time.

you can do very basic functions with just the light and no ap. At least you could with the III. I don't remeber how to control it manually.

Are you using the QR code to install the app or do you already have the app and are trying a QR code to load schedule? It's been a while but when I set up my v3s but when I did the app had to be downloaded and wasn't available on the play store. The file was flagged as potentially harmful and I had to override to install it.

Thanks, do you have any issues with algae in your tank? My tank is pretty new so hard to gauge but I have to clean plexiglass every 2-3 days and I have red and green basically off the whole day, white for about 3.5 hours from 5-25 then down again to 0. I called TRSC Aquatics who is national distributor for noopschee and they walked me through the AP set up and it was pretty easy. I have all 3 options set to somewhat different settings mostly to practice so I don't forget how. My tank is a acrylic 20 gallon flat back hex so not big. I just put about a dozen coral frags in and mostly because the yellow leather I got was squeezed to get water out to fit in jar for shipping and it didn't respond well I probably have 10 frags of that and it was large hand size to start.
I may change my lights to your settings just to see what it looks like. I have just a pair of black oscillaris misbars in the tank and no other fish. I have 2 other small tanks with smaller pairs of Oscillaris mocha (babies) and another tank w a regular oscillaris and a mocha.
So far like the light don't like noopschee company they are a bit of a pain
Thanks,
Jerry

I think that I have had every type of algae and pest that there is. I don't know if that has anything to do with the lights though.
I'm cleaning my glass every 4-5 days right now. Ive had to clean it more frequently though. I don't know what the "normal" amount of time is.
