Going to be making a DIY kalk reactor and have a question about how much kalk should be used. I am going to use a 20 gallon ato container going into a 1 gallon Kalk reactor. Now do I put 20 teasoons into the reactor for the amount of water in the ATO container or do I use 1 teasoon for the size of the reactor or 2 1/2 teaspoons for the amount of evaporation per day?

I'd start with 1/4 to 1/2 cup in the reactor and see how it stirs up. I've built a couple and used MJ pumps to stir once or twice a day. If you add too much kalk powder you will burn the impellar right out of the pump in just weeks. You should post some pics. What are the dimensions? I put one cup in my 6x24 DIY Kalk mixer the last time around.

Im actually going to be using a empty 3 liter bottle of soda with a maxi jet 400 :)
