Yesterday, I decided to make a bracket/mount for my Kamoer X1 Pro 2's since I have three of them now and I'm not a fan of lining up 6 or 8 screws and such in the stand (It's just a bit awkward to get in there and they end up looking like modern art by the time I'm done!! haha).

So I designed/printed a mount for them that holds 4 and allows for the spacing I need for the power supplies. For mine, I just lowered it a bit so the power plugs would be below the brace, so I didn't need to worry about it, but I did make one that is the correct thickness that it allows for the plugs even if mounted flush against a wall.

Print isn't the cleanest, I need to adjust a few things, but it worked well.

Great Idea, that's much cleaner than my hacked up piece of wood on the wall that mine hang from.
Haha! That's exactly why I made it, mine always looks like the mounting screws were put in after several shots of tequila! Plus, for me anyway, this is easier than cutting wood, painting/sealing it, and then mounting it to the stand so I can mount the pumps to it.

Great idea! There's some article I recall reading describing the orientation of the print that will significantly increase the strength of the print. Think about how it's easier to separate between layers vs actually break a print filament layer in half. Thinking about your print, I would probably print with the text on the plate and printing higher density near the pegs.

This would be a concern to me if I was printing this with PLA given the smaller print surface of the pegs. A weak peg for me could mean my dosers will drop down into the sump for a swim. Something to keep in mind for V2 of your next print.

Great idea overall! I never thought about printing mounts like this instead of screws.

Thanks! The lettering was really just me goofing off and seeing how it would look! haha

AS for the strength, if I printed it "vertically" then I'd likely need supports for the pegs, which isn't a big deal (maybe 1 tree per peg?), just something I didn't want to mess with. Thankfully, the pegs turned out plenty strong printed "on it's back" (and it had less post production clean up). But I agree that it would likely be stronger printed the way you indicated, especially if one has issues with layer adhesion.

Fortunately, I don't usually have layer adhesion issues (anymore..........haha). I tried to break one off on purpose and it bent pretty far before snapping off, which honestly surprised me since I print mostly with PETG and it's a bit brittle.
