Low flow moderate light. Pretty hardy coral. Depended on your tank and light, place it around the middle to middle bottom :)

Blastos may be my favorite coral. They're pretty forgiving, so I wouldn't stress to much, as others have said, low-moderate light, moderate flow and you'll be good. Once they settle in, they become good growers. You can target feed if you want, or just let it grab stuff time to time when you broadcast feed the fish. The best success I had with one was at around the 1/3 mark from the bottom of a 120g (24" tall), under a 6-bulb T5, to give you a concept of light levels.

Indecision may or may not be my problem.

I find them to be easier than acans, just slower growing. The like to be fed as well. I've had a colony for over 2 years, very forgiving coral but it can be upset by rapidly changing parameters and take a while to recover fully.

Nice looking blastos! If all the other corals in your tank are happy and healthy the blastos should do well too. They like the water a little dirtier.

Freshwater filter only or is it? Have you ever used an HOB filter on a saltwater tank?
