I've heard these things will eventually drop branches. I've also read where these can be manually fragged. At what point do these things drop the branches on their own?

Mine is much larger and it took a long time to start dropping. I’ve found they grow quite slow

It's around 10" across when fully puffed up. Those fish and cup coral are larger. How big do they get? I may frag it some on my own....

My Wife brought him home from a trip to Gainesville. She was with her daughter and I asked her to pick up some reef glue for me. Her daughter owns cows so it appealed to her. She is non stop getting on me about buying for the tank so I was floored when they came home with it. I love unusual fish and he is definitely that. Hes got so much personality. Easily my new favorite...even if he kinda bit me tonight.

Should I frag it then?

Do you want to frag it because you feel it is getting to big? Or do you just want to frag for more frags?
When they do drop branches they do not get smaller, it is usually a nub less than an inch.

The answer is Yes...lol
It's getting pretty big and starting to block my view of what's behind it and If I'm being honest...I kinda want to frag it just to do it. I'm always looking for stuff to do that's new.

Well you could just move it...
But if you want to frag it, it is just a razor blade away. But... you have to let it recover in a separate tank for a few days. They will release toxins that could affect your tank.
