Im building a 75g tank, I am wanting to put 2 A160WE lights with the Kessil Controller. Does anyone have this set up? if so thoughts?

Thanks!

I would recommend either 2 a360ws instead. I had the a160we tuna blue on my 25 and it was okay. They don't give a lot of spread and my tank is 18x20. You will have shadowing. Either 2 a360we or 2 hydra 26s.

It says it will do up to 24 inch spread, so i figured 2 on a 48 inch tank would be plenty. And i dont mind some shadowing, think it makes it look more life like.

That's all up to you but for coral growth i don't recommend it. I ended up selling my a160 and using my hydra 26 and I see a big difference in growth and spread.

I have 2 over a 40 breeder and really like them. However with the extra depth of the 75 I would also go with 360s. Kessils are great lights, however you end up needing more than you would originally plan on. I would have to say if you want to keep costs down I would also say 2 hydra 26. What are you planning on keeping in the tank? If it is LPS and softies, with good planning of the rockwork you may be just fine. Possibly a couple sticks on top directly below the lights.

I also see a lot of used gen3 radions for sale on the forum at good prices. I would certainly consider those as well.

for the price of the 2 360s with a controller, y not just get the AP700 then? wouldnt that be better than the 160 and 360?
