Kessil A360xe tuna blue

Has anyone used these lights before? I'm thinking about starting another tank and using these. I don't know much about kessil I been using AI and love their lights.

I’ve used Kessil tuna blues. For me not the best for certain sps but great for lps and softies.

I just replaced 2 of my Kessil tuna blues that I’ve have for over 8 years, with one knockoff g6 and there is a night and day difference. The Kessil don’t even compare especially for keeping Sps.

No experience with the XE or the AP9X, But I did use the H380 refugium light. got my best macro growth with it. But if the xe and the ap9x have kept in line with the previous models, i'd imagine they do just as well if not better :)

The ap9x is basically two tuna blues in one.
Their Refugio light is great for growing algae

Well my supplier is carrying them and they are expensive compared to AI lights but I don't wanna sell them until I tried them but I know nothing about kessil

Agree, if you're going to use them for SPS they're best paired with T5's in my experience.

they are a quality light like I said I have had mine for over 8 years. Really depends on what you are trying to do with them. Type of coral

Thanks guys. I'll definitely look into them i ordered a innovative marine 25 gallon lagoon tank supposed to be here end of January so I got time to shop around for lights

I’ve only had the new light on for a day but I can tell just from looking at my coral this light is providing a much better spectrum.
The Kessil did okay but this light is a whole new level.

Gotcha. See i love my ai i have a ai blade on my tank and I love it so it's gonna be hard for me not to buy another one when my new tank comes in haha

The problem with Kessils and SPS corals is kessils are a single point light source, so the sps coral doesn't get coverage all over as it does with bigger lights that use grid style leds. Which is why I went with adding T5's to mine
Here's an example of growth under an AP700 with T5's

same corals a few months later but at this time I have Hydra 26's over the tank, but the kessil t5 did all the growth
