lets discuss grow vs bloom on the a380,

I have recently turned my light to bloom and my chaeto looks like it is growing in a tighter bunch and is really putting on weight. Do you think that is the better setting for taking nutrients out of the tank?

From my understanding, the grow setting is better as it hits the blue and red wavelengths to promote chlorophyll A and chlorophyll B in plant life.

what i thought too, but it does look better under the bloom currently. been like that a few weeks, maybe i will switch it every so often.

It probably does not matter. The BRS chaeto video is a good indication of why... while the chaeto under the more expensive light weighed more, the ones under the other types still removed every bit of building block that was put in the tank. ...so water weight is the difference? In the end, any light worked in their experiment. I think that some of this is just on paper and in people's minds.

which part?

I am not sure what you are asking. What I am saying is that any light of sufficient strength removed all of the N and P out of their experiment tanks - down to zero. It probably does not matter whether you use bloom or grow, you are probably going to get the same results in the tank.
