There is no question in my mind that LEDs will continue to evolve while other technologies remain stagnate thus in 5 years or so LED will completely dominate the market and MH/T5s will start to die. Both T5s and MH have reached the peak of their technology and will not gain additional efficiency and effectiveness. There is no known ceiling to LEDs, ever two years they get much better than before.
Hahaha. There a bit more to it than that but yea. Ok.

Film still has more resolution than digital.

It cheap and convienient. Easily acesable and a tiny bit more eco friendly.

The current cap on led is why you get less par per lumen compared to t5 and metal halide

The biggest advance kessil could do is admit you can use a par meter on it and post thier approximate specs like Everyone else in the industry.

Sure there is, but you get the point. They will continue to get better.

Mostly black worms, frozen food, and Tetra color bits.

I think the reason ours are doing so well is because my wife changes the water every 2 days (70-80%) and cleans the filters every week.
Sounds like the key to this is your wife!!!! dang brother. You have won the game of life.

I have two AP700's ready to go over my shallow 90g that I'm currently building. The tank is 36x36x16 and will be full of sps. The only other LED that I would use is the GHL LX7 Mitra's, but nothing else compares to the Kessil shimmer. BTW, those Discus are beautiful!
Oh yeah, they're worth every penny!

You won't be disappointed. My advice, get the slight diffusers and turn them puppies up!!

The Ap700 had a pretty poor start when introduced. But they have made good on promises to improve the software and control. Once my corals acclimated they took off growth wise. Both sps and lps and they are about 15" off a 90g tank.

What are diffusers and what do they do?
they diffuse the light, eliminating hot spots and spread it much more evenly. @saltyfilmfolks can give you a much more detailed explanation if needed. he kinda knows his stuff when it comes to lighting and effects.

Your shadows are incredible! Good job!
thanks @bif24701 but i can't take much credit, these lights are fantastic. and the aquascape... i just knew i wanted caves for the fishes to relax in. they were quite tricky flow wise but a lot of patience, curse words, and different pumps helped make it work.

I've had that problem up till now, added a second Tunze 6105 and I have a channel behind all my rock for flow to pass through.

Things are really moving around now, better PE, just all around better.
