Does anyone happen to have some pictures/examples of how they've ceiling mounted Kessil ap9x lights?

I'm a bit unsure of how to route power specifically (conceptually) and am looking for examples of people who have ceiling mounted these lights without any form of canopies.

The other option might be to mount on the back with mounting arm extensions. I'm not sure if it will work in my case with my steel stand and 300 gallon tank though.

You can see the current screw hole points (which are the same on the back and front). Plus I have limited clearance.

I have a Euro brace with no options that work with the current lids (nor do I want the lights to have dedicated lid cut outs).

I don't think https://kessil.com/products/accessories_ExtensionMount.php is compatible without mounting some plywood or something to the back -- which I'm not doing.

I may just run the power brick/cable straight through the ceiling ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I have a500s, but same concept here. We ran a little jumper from the outlet by the floor to a retrofit outlet up high and plugged in there. Hid the power boxes on top of the mounting arm, but you could also just have a little shelf for the bricks and use wire trim panels from the wall to your hangers.

This ironically gave me another idea.

I want to try something like this which would be 1000x better than ceiling mounting IMO.

I suspended an 80/20 channel from the ceiling using Gripple angel hangers and 3d printed bracket

Alright. So mounting on the wall with the tank rim brackets worked like a charm.

Final results as shown.
