Only thing I set was my blue lights and white lights and my heater temp at 78.0
And I set alarm 1 at 80.0, above , f&b
Alarm 2 at 76.0, below, f&b
I only have the lights shutting off with alarm 1

No other alarms and no timers set

My cir pumps, hob filter, both ato plugs all shut down with standby

I calibrated my temp probe to my digital thermometer which is the same as my glass thermometer.

Ok I built a 10 gallon sump

I have a 3 piece bubble trap on the return side and a regular baffle and a split baffle on the overflow side. The split baffle so water flows through cheato and rock and bottom piece is 2" high so I can still have sand if I want

Heck of a job Bro, I know who I'm getting to build mine when I'm ready. Can't wait to see it up and running!

Ok I got my digital aquatics float switches and brackets in the mail yesterday. I noticed my tank wasn't topped off and got to looking and the line going in my bucket wasn't all the way in the bottom. It has a rock zip tied to it but I guess when I put the lid on the bucket it wasn't letting it sit all the way at the bottom. The aqua lifter pump had been running for who knows how long without any water. I took the line and blew through it and it started pumping again... I'm guessing those pumps are more like air pumps anyways and it won't hurt them.

Well I ordered the dual kit and a extra float switch so I'm going to attach the line to the bracket so I know that won't happen again

I read that all I have to do is remove the clip on the switch and flip the float upside down and put the clip back on for it to work as a shut off. Is this correct?

Ok here is what I done today. I tested the sump and got it all set up along with my float switches and controller. Took a while because I had to remove the light stand I built and unhook every wire to remove it and cut a section out so the overflow box would sit level.

I put the floss in my bubble trap to act like a filter so hopefully I can remove my hob filter from the tank. It pulls out a lot of debris so I definitely need something like it

I started with a huge piece of floss but figured it probably wasnt needed so I cut it in half

Heater will be moved when I know the sump is stable. I've never had a sump before so I'm a little worried about it. Just making sure I'm not going to have any issues :)

And thanks Tony

Ok anyone familiar with the hoffer gurglebuster? Ok I had my down tube almost at the bottom and I was getting a lot of splashing I guess you could call it from the bubbles. So I cut the tube to just below the water's surface and I still had bubbles so I took a piece of floss and a rubber band and wrapped the end (I don't like this)

Anyone have any suggestions?

Also because I messed with it I have the gurgling sound in the over flow again.

I think I'm going to try to make a bubble buster tomorrow evening

Oh yeah another question, anyone else have issues viewing pics on the android app? I can view pictures and don't know why

Just wanted to give an update. Everything seems to be going good now since the purigen recharging mishap :-(

I did lose a few corals but I guess I am very lucky it could have been a lot worse

I got my controller figured out I think

The sump is running good and my parameters are better than they ever have been

Ammonia 0
Nitrite 0
Nitrate 0 :)
Ph 7.8
Salt 1.025
Ph 78.1
Calcium 380
Kh 9
Phosphates 0
Magnesium 1480

I do have a bunch of zoas not opening up
My nitrates went to 0 pretty fast thanks to the chaeto I got from Mike when I bought the sump. Also my pulsating xenia didn't look too healthy but I'm not too concerned about that

Everything else is doing great.

Nice additions to the setup. You'll enjoy having a sump especially come water change time!

Well that's a problem. My return pump section only holds about a gallon and the 10 gallon aquarium is only 3" off the ground so I haven't quite figured out how to get 5 gallons out without scooping it out of middle chamber with a cup or something
