I've finally made it, I'm packing water from the LFS. I plan to fill up the tank and scape for the next week. Lucky my LFS is two miles away, easy money. My first wife loved Key West, kind of doing this little reef for her. She passed away fairly young 4 years ago. Don't mind if I bother you with a question or two. I have a few planted freshwater tanks, but always wanted to get a saltwater tank. Current equipment, picking it up by the week:

Red Sea 250 G2+
Red Sea LED 90 *2
Reef Mat 500
Reef Run 5500 Return
Reef Run Dual Controller
Reef ATO
12 gallons of salt water, LoL.

Moving slow with my adventure, just wanted to document my progress. Thanks for all the information shared on this site.

Sorry for your loss :crying-face:
That’s a nice looking tank!

Thought it would be good to post the real responsibility around the house before I put some fish in the tank in two months. These two dogs are family. Sophie the chaweenie check my spelling, plus our new addition Chubs full blooded mini pen from Missouri / Iowa. Lost a German Shepherd and mini pen the last two years, these two make the house go round. Good dogs.

Spent sometime at Whitlyn's Aquatics today. Added two Zoa corals for a test run. Also picked up water, peppermint shrimp, and some island rocks. I was bidding on a coral the last two days in their auction, it went from 24 dollars to 3,000 plus quick. Not sure that is a real bid, LoL.

They opened up partially before lights out. I need to research corals that do good with high flow, stay in shallows, and like a lot of light. I have a lot of room on the top of the rocks.

Rock Flower anemones like high flow and lots of light, I believe. They are a very beautiful coral too.

Has total control over life, then he gets a salt water tank.

I'm learning there is an initial set up, then a professional set up of equipment. I can't believe the wires involved with one tank. I'll get all of this later.

Picked up some items in the WA auction tonight. It won't let me post screenshots, update soon.

1 cotton candy torch
1 wolverine favia
1 green Duncan
1 Easter egg chalice

Hope I can keep the first round alive. Burn my cards in my wallet. Note to self, don't drink bourbon and auction. How did I do for $200?

Easter Egg and Wolverine are some good ones. Cotton Candy is a popular torch, Duncan's are good, easy corals.

How many heads on the torch?

Does the $200 include shipping?

@tbrown what do you use to dose you're tank? I'm looking at AFR right now. I like the look of you're master piece. Trying to keep things simple if all possible. I'll be dosing manually for a few months. Still figuring out how many pumps I want to invest in for now.

Currently using a Jebao 4 head (not WiFi). I recently added a Hydros Minnow and a couple of Hydros (Kamoer) single head, but they're not hooked up yet.

I use 3 dosing heads - alk, mag, and calc. AFR has those 3 individually.
