start at 0:07 that is what tape I am talking about. How old is unit? I recommend to change all the lines after one year. You can also use a reference fluid to double check your readings or check with hanna and calibrate with that if this makes sense. PH probe should also be replaced every year some even recommend 6 months.

I've had the unit for under 3months. I'll use a reference hanna checker and calibrate with that. Maybe that saved data fell off during the update.

PH probe is also less than 3 months old, and so is the reagent. Had to open a ticket with Coralvue because i received a dry PH probe, reference fluid, and old reagent. They sent me replacements for all of that.

It was clearly a unit sitting on the shelf for a long time, but the tubing lines weren't in use during that time. Still worth a refresh of them?

ok, also when you calibrate saltwater pump modify SG of your tank water if you didn't do so. Also, run it with scale a couple times

I think general concensus is to use 3 rinses, although that shouldn't throw off your reading to read 0-1dkh.

Can you post pics of the side and front of your unit, with the doors open and front cover removed?

Are you using 50mL for the test sample?

What firmware version does it show for the unit on your kamoer app?

I bumped it up to 3 last night and still reading around the same. It does fluctuate throughout the day. I use 60ml for the sample size. Version is saying 1.1.1 in the app

Could anyone provide some trouble shooting tips for my KH Carer? Updated to the new firmware and i'm getting very low readings. Reads around the .75kh range, with readings consistently fluctuating throughout the day (similar to when it was reading correctly).

I'm running the 1:9 ratio. Mixed up a new batch of reagent to rule that out. Re-calibrated the ph probe as well, and it seems to read similarly to my tank PH. Purged all the lines as well. Anyone know what my next step should be to fix this?
The ratio should be 1:8 reagent:RODI. Are you sure you’re mixing correctly?

From what i've read on this thread and others is 1:9 is the better ratio. I mix in batch 100ml reagent to 900ml RODI weight via scale for a total of 1000ml. Does this math look incorrect? 1:8 was consistently reading incorrect (prior to the device not working properly), 1:9 worked better and closer to my hanna reading.

The math works at that ratio, I’ve been using the recommended 1:8 and always been in line with my Checker +/- .3dkh but just offset it to match when I calibrate and I’m good from there on out. I’m assuming an incredibly low KH reading is due to very high reagant concentration, bad PH probe, or something is way out of whack on your pump calibrations. How old is your probe? How many seconds do you default to when calibrating your pumps?

So your unit is at 3.5.13 which is up to date. I do see you don't have the new thinner lines installed though.

If you got your unit from coral vue, get in touch with them for the tubing upgrade kit. They provide it for free as long as you bought it from them. I think it was 30bucks otherwise.

Then once installed, get in touch with kamoer directly and they will adjust your pump setting remotely to have it all work out.

You could just get in touch with kamoer directly right now, but I found the unit more consistent with the upgrade kit.

Thank you. I'll reach out to CoralVue and get the upgrade installed. Good to know that Kamoer can remote into the unit!

Hello everyone, I just purchased a used KH Carer, and the first thing I noticed is a hot-plastic, almost burnt smell coming out of the unit. I left it on for around 1 hour, but the smell never left. Could someone confirm if this is normal?

For sure not normal.
I have two units running with no issues. One fir a couple of years and one just acquired for my frag tank. These unites work flawless for me.

Is anyone having an issue with running the pumps part in the app? You can't set an amount to tell how many ml to run pumps for. I use an iPhone if that matters.

I'm having multiple issues with my Kamoer KH Carer. My device is reading very low readings, about 1-2 dkh, but the PH readings are fine, at around 8. The issues that I'm seeing is that when I go to settings > maintain > calibration > KH, this is stuck at a calibration factor of 17.55, being calibrated las time on 2025-08-17 and I don't know how to change this, when I click on Go to calibrate it says "Please recheck KH" There is a problem with the detected parameter. The availability of "KH Test Reagent" is unavailable, it says value of: 9:28, the firmware version im running is: 1.1.1 and the current version is EN-3.5.13. I've calibrated everything and I'm still getting issues. Any help?

For reagent I'm using the DIY sulfuric acid 2N at 20ml per 980ML RODI making 1L.

I'm I doing anything wrong?

Something doesn’t look right. My calibration factor is .68. What are you checking your alk against? If you are using a Checker for example, test with that, then run a test with the KH Carer and then go to:

Settings - maintain - calibration - KH - Go to calibration - (then enter the number dkh it should be at)

See if these steps help.
