Hello everyone, 3 weeks ago I replaced one of T5 bulbs (1 of 10 bulbs) from ATI aqua blue special to Korallen-zucht coral light T5 bulb.

well , in first sight it looks littel bit more "yellowish" , compared to ATI abs.

It's full spectrum bulbs, rated at 10,000k and defently brightest from the ATI.

Almost emidyatly I noticed to to improvement in all sps , especially red's and pink's.

another interesting thing is that tips of growth in stag horn , becoming more and more yellow

I'm very happy with the results, so far .

I can see why you are happy with those results!

I use them in my T5 as well. Coral Light New Gen and Super Purple and Suoer Blue.
I can't order the new generation bulb, for tome reason....but I like the coral light . the sps really like this bulb.

What do you use to have this water so clear?

Gac, ozone, coral snow, uv?!

It's impressive, fantastic

(i have t5 too) 6x80 watt 2 coral 2 abs 2 blu plus

Cool! T5 users! I'll be starting my upcoming tank with an old Tek 8x54W fixture. Its a dinosaur. And not one of those young 65,000,000 year old beasts.....rather, one that's 200,000,000 years old!

for me ,t5 are still golden standard

To me too

I've ati powermodule 6x80
For you what is the best combo for sps to help every single color...?
I'm using ATI power module 10×54w

in my opinion, after I tried many combinations...the best for color and growth :

4 KZ coral light (full spectrum bulb)
4 ATI blue plus
1 KZ fiji purple
1 ATI actinic

if I had 6 bulbs fixture, I would probably would install :
2 KZ coral light
1 coral plus
2 blue plus
1 KZ fiji purple

I flirted with LEDs, both viparspectra and XR15's. Lost my shirt when I sold them and went back to T5. Im setting up a tank with MH and have 3 years of bulbs put away for the MH and 2 years worth on the T5 working on getting them to 3 years of reserves including spare ballist

What kind of ballasts?

What kind of ballasts?
On the MH? I'm using a indoor grow glass inclosed hood and electronic ballist I used for my indoor grows, and for the T5 I will need a 6 bulb 54 watt 4ft ballist. They are still available from some hardware stores.

What?? I thought all you needed is low par, blue LED? ;)
Seriously, I think that LED industry has made huge progress in terms of spectrum and spread.
BUT , and it's big BUT , for me the growth rate , color and overall health of SPS corals in my tank -T5 are still the best (for me) .
I tried to grow SPS in the past with several LED fixtures . it's just didn't work for me.

For reference this is my current reef tank , it's 2 years old . all SPS started as tiny frags , and consistently fraged every two to three weeks.
happy reefing everyone ❤
