L2 firmware update

This is more of a curiosity post. This evening I happen to go into the Mobius app, which I rarely do now given i run on MXM. Happened to notice there was a firmware update for my three L2’s. Updated them without issues so all good there. But given that Ecotech does not provide any details on what is being updated, now I’m just more curious why on earth would a DC pump need to have a firmware updated in general. The comes working from the factory with basic presets. Not like they’re adding new modes to play around with one over a month
