Where does everyone buy these large aquariums I keep seeing? I'm not buying rn, maybe in 5 years or something, but do all these people spend 5-6k just on the tank and stand or is there a place people buy it for like 1k it seems like alot of people have these tanks too. I'm talking about 250+
I got my 150g project tank from fb marketplace. But the reason big tanks are expensive is they take a lot more material to do right. Would you trust a literal ton of water in a $100 tank you hadn't seen in person?

How much was it and did it come with anything?

They had it listed at $275 as a “whole setup”. The stand was moldy, the lights were ok ish if it was going to a FOWLR and the sump was leaking. I negotiated a much lower price and put some elbow grease into it. You can see before and after pics in my tank thread. It’s going to end up being cheaper by far than a new tank would have been but it’s not going to be cheap by any means
