I’ve never even heard of aquacultured bass for aquarium purposes… anything you get online is likely to have come straight from the wild too, honestly!

Wait until next spring and use a cast net. You should be able to get one around the bank. I had one as a kid. I caught it with a net out of one of our ponds. I kept it for a couple years. It got decent sized and I put it back in the pond it came from.

We have a farm store called Heritage Corp. every spring they have a fish fry sale for ponds. Large mouth bass, crappie, bluegill, pumpkin seed sunfish, catfish and carp ( for algae control) I’m sure you can find a place there that sells fish to stock ponds.
