Larger clown doing the twitching dance??

Hey, quick question for all those clown experts...i bought a clown for a new set up. Im guessing its 2 to 2 1/2 inches long. Then i Decided to try and buy a smaller one to try and pair about 2 weeks later. The new (smaller clown is much smaller. Maybe 1 to 1 1/2 inches. Its been 3 days and ive seen absolutely no aggression with either fish. They just swim together and tonight i noticed the larger clown doing the twitching dance. I thought this was a sign of showing submission. I have 1 bta in the tank, they ignore it for now. But i bought the smaller clown cause he was being hosted by a carpet and thought he'd jump right in the bta. So far he has not. Lol i have 3 tanks with clowns. My other tanks all have bta's and the clowns live peaceful being hosted by the nems. So my question is it possible the larger is still not a female? I figured it was cause of how big. My local reef store said the larger one was a trade in. I figured it was alone for quite sometime. So i thought it was a safe bet. Is it normal for the larger to do this submission dance or could it also be a dominance dance? Thanks!

Normally it is the smaller one unless the smaller one was a female at the store. Give it time they might duke it out especially if the big female takes the nem first.
