I have try to see them - but nada. Today I spot one of them - but it was dead - maybe the reason why I could spot it.

It's amazing how long a fish can live hidden in our well-watched systems. I've had this happen several times with additions of new small fish. After several weeks of not seeing them, I conclude reluctantly that they didn't survive the initial adjustment period.
Then one day they'll decide they're comfortable enough to pop out at feeding time and from then on they're easy to spot.

In this case - it was probably alive yesterday. I have really try to spot it before - with flashlight and other tricks. But this means that the other still can be alive, I have another goby - larger - i have two but it takes months before I see both at the same time.

It is a day of sorrow. This morning I found my beloved Sunburst anthias dead. Yesterday - it was normal and eating well. I have had some lost of fishes the last weeks that I am not sure why. There is no sign of disease - they just disappear from one day to another, We will see what´s happen further on.

Edit: I also discover that both my filefish maybe be lost too - can´t spot them at all today.

Oh man, I'm so sorry. I know we've all been there, but man, it's awful to lose fish and especially be unsure of why.

Yes - I lost too many of my favorite fish during a short time. I have no idea why . it was mainly during 1-2 days/nights. Totally good the day before - the next day dead or lost. I have been feeding a lot and it can have been a bacteria bloom. I have increase my oxidators use of peroxide, stopping much of the feeding of cyclops and increase the circulation. For the moments its OK. The rapid progress indicate toxification - not an infectious disease

Could it be coral toxins from warfare?

It could but I doubt that. I lost the most during a day or two but I can´t decide if I think it is a chemical or infectious disease. For the moment - I lend to the later but I think that low oxygen and high bacteria stress can be the underlying factors. I did things that probably have stopped the deaths (at least for the last 3 weeks). I stopped my heavy feeding with a dose pump - feeds only 1 time a day again and I manage my oxidator more careful - I do not let it go empty for weeks as I did before. I have also add one more stream pump and had to live with the fact that I can see it in the display.

The two main changes (lower the feeding and manage the oxydator better) affect both scenarios and all between, Lower organic load rise the oxygen and better management of the oxydator does it too. The oxydator will also manage to kill (or at least irritate) microorganisms and also oxydate harmfull chemicals. It seems that I am back at track again - but have lost many of my favorite fishes - among them - some that I probably can´t get again. I have not seen the Fathead on any list for the last years here in Sweden. I also lost my sailfin blennies and my red scooter blenny, most of my threadfins and all of my midnight gobies. But still - my copper-band, my wrasses (including my possum) still are alive. So also my blue assessor´s and some other gobies (my pair of Okinawa goby among others)

Things has been stable for a while - I lost one of my clams a week ago but the other 2 in my aquarium are going well. The one I moved to to my work a year ago is going well and will be a centrepiece in one of the aquariums in the new exhibition that open 10/12. From that aquarium

In my own aquarium - I introduce 3 new fishes yesterday - 2 scooter blennies and one mimic filefish. They are eating well and no problems in the introduction.

Here is a new video of my old clam I moved to the Maritime Museum around 1.5 years ago. The clam is now placed in one of the exhibition tanks (around 3000 L) and will be moved to the large 400 000 L later on.

In the Video you see a lot of yellow tangs. Its tank breed tangs from Biota US. We get those - I still work at the Public aquarium - a week ago together with around. The tangs had a good colouration and was of very good size (to be tank breed). The other breed fish was also in excellent condition - we get around 150 fish

They was delivered to Sweden a by Dynasty Fl. US. - I have seen and unpacked + 100 deliveries of ornamental fish to Sweden that has been on the move for +24 hour. This transport was 48 hours and the fish was in excellent conditions. To be honest - never seen a better packed delivery before. Kudos to the ones who have packed the fish !!

Lutefisk?

Nope - its a traditional Swedish Christmas ham. It is first boiled and then grilled with breadcrumbs in the oven. It is often eaten with mustard on a slice of wort bread. As long as I know we have always make it on the evening before Christmas eve and we always eat it warm on a slice of wort bread this evening. After this - its always served as a cold dish on the Swedish Christmas smorgasbord (julbord).

Lutefisk (swedish lutfisk) its another Swedish/Norwegian tradition and in Sweden we use Molva Molva (common ling). In our family - its only my wife that love that dish.
