You need to keep your pajama cardinal out of he hood. He is lucky that he only took one bullet. :p

Also your bicolor blenny needs to lay off the fatty foods. :p

Looks beautiful always glad to see posts on this tank.

EDIT: And Happy New Year!

Hi Lasse,
Your tank is so special to me. So its with a sad heart that I say goodbye to your build thread as I leave r2r.

I didn't join this forum in order to be pushed back into a closet, I joined in order to laugh at the funny 3d printed hats people make for their sea urchins and to share my love for marine life.

all best

Yes i love them too. But they have growth so well that I probably have to move out the largest sooner or later. The idea is that I will give them to the new 400 0000 L tank at Sjöfartsmuseet Akvariet in Gothenburg when it is ready - 1 or 2 years from now

Sincerely Lasse
So good for you to plan ahead on these. I was in awe over the health of them, makes me want to give them another try! Amazing work sir!

Just before Christmas I introduce 2 yellow okinawa gobies - Gobiodon okinawae Of some reasons - the smallest of them prefer my clams as resting spot in the reef. Here is a video showing how large the clams have growth. The one to the left was around 3 " 2.5 years ago and the one to the right - the same size but 3.5 years ago. The goby itself - around 1 1/4 "

Those clams are absolutely beautiful! The excellent condition of all the creatures in your aquarium is a testament to your skills as an aquarist! Beautiful aquarium!
Thank you

Today I receive a Hanna ultra low nitrite test. this will be in my standard test that I perform at least once a week. For the moment I test alkalinity (Hanna ULR nitrite Checker), Nitrate (Hanna Low Nitrate checker), Phosphate ( Hanna ULR Phosphate checker) and Calcium. I have used Red Sea but going to use Tropic Marines test and also test Magnesium.

Some have asked what I wear on my head ( my profile icon) It is an iconic tiara. In these days - it is important to maintain the distance - even to oneself :D

I was tired of my old icon - it was a little to much Jack London - so I chose between these two.

However - they fit together - when some see the first icon - they maybe want my head on a plate as in old good days. But I can´t use both - I start with the more female side of me:D:D

@Lasse , sometime in the past you posted that you dose 3 mL a day of iron in your tank. Is that still true? Is this primarily for growing macro-algae or are there other reasons? Do you believe that more iron equals higher macro-alga growth-rate, as long as there is sufficient phosphate and nitrate?
