hi friends @ #reefsquad.

I have a Leather coral for like 2 weeks now. Everyday it will inflate nicely and only when some fish touch that will deflate a while. But immediately after 2-3 minutes it will inflate again. But for the past 2 days its not inflating at all. It's just like a stone... im bit worried now. is it dead or something? can i leave it inside the water even if its like a stone now?

my water param all perfect. water is very clear and all other corals doing fine. I also feed them 2 times a week. so it's not coz of starvation.

I'm attaching a before and a current pic. any idea what could be the issue? it was a beautiful coral when its inflated :(

Its not abnormal for leathers and toadstools to close up for weeks at a time. Could be shedding. As long as it isn't turning brown and melting away I wouldn't get to concerned just yet. Just keep your water parameters in check and see if he opens back up

thank you :) learning new things every single day. marine life is really fascinating :)
