Led driver question

What happens if you run a 5w 1500 ma chip on a 700 or 1000 ma driver?

It gets driven at 700 or 1000ma. It just won't get as bright as if you ran it at 1500ma. It will increase to longevity of the led if you don't run them at thier max specs. I'm running a bunch of 1500ma xt-e RB and NW @ 700ma.
