Good Morning.. Need a little advice and help. I have a 75 Gallon Reef Tank. I am searching and doing research but I need additional help. Making a decision between 2 ECOTECH's XR30 Pros and 1 Kessil AP700. Its to be mounted underneath a canopy. I'm worried that I won't be able to achieve the 15 inches from the water rule on the Kessil to cover my entire tank. I am trying to be smart and also I need to be conservative with the money as this hits the pocket deep but I want to make the right decision. I am leaning towards the Kessil. Would love some sound advice. Thanks

I've just had to make the same decision myself. After reading numerous reviews and threads there didn't seem to be a clear winner so I ended up going with the 2 xr30 pros (which hurt my pocket A LOT!). Hopefully someone with experience of both will be able to offer you some good advice. Best of luck and hope you are happy with whichever you opt for :)

Why not use 2 XR15s? They will cover the tank perfectly. A LFS has them on a 120 and it looks great. I think they run them at about 30% as well.

That was my original thought but I was told it wouldn't cover, that their would be shadowing and I needed 2 xr30s. its so hard

Worse case you can get a 120 degree lens kit so you can swap them out. The new G4 specs show that they can cover a 30x30

I agree with the G4. The kessils hae the shimmer, almost as good as a halide...almost. but I hear they leave alot of shadowing
