led strips

Looking to build led strip to add to my 60" fixture.

How many leds should I have for 60" strip

Will be using luxeon es royal blues

I would think that on a 5 foot strip RapidLED heat sink you could have 24 LEDs and not have to use a fan for cooling. I have a strip like that 3 foot long with 14 LEDs and no fan. It never gets warm.
