Can someone steer me in the right direction. I have a 300gal tank 30" deep. I want to raise SPS and LPS. Can I use LEDs in my tank. I have halides now.

Definitely... There is a lot of debate on which are the best and if you really need to spend thousands to get the best quality. Having had them both, I light the MH shimmer and knowing your hitting the spectrum you need almost by default. Adding a T5 light Helps. However LED will continue to develop past the capability of MH, which in many ways it already has. I grow 3 tanks with LED. You defiantly need to read a lot to determine what's best for your needs. Check the for sale sections save yourself a lot of cash...

With the size of you tank I personally would stick with eithet AI 52's or Radion XR-30. Both would be able to penetrate to the bottom of your tank as well as give you the controllable aspect to dial in what you are looking for as far as color.

The sol blue is also a great choice one that is often overlooked now that the 52 and the XR-30 is out, But honestly for me with a deep tank LED is the only way to go. They definitely give you more penetration and less maintenance, not to mention the cost they do cost a bit more initially but five years of replacing buble on a MH fixture and T5 fixture really helps justify the cost.

You're on it... there are others but they're full of middle aged life loosers who get off treating new guys like crap.

Look at SB Reef Lights if you want good spectrum without breaking the bank. Consider them a higher end black box with a 2 year USA Warranty.

I really use R2R for most of my research thier really is alot of good info on here. As for as which vendor to buy from I believe both radion and AI have mat pricing. Both are also made by ecotech.
