I was considering making my own led light fixture again, but decided I wanted the controllability that comes with buying lights off the shelf.

I found these online, liked the look of them, but couldn't find any reviews as I believe they are a very new model.

Anyone here have any experience with them?

cheers

well I went ahead & bought a pair.

I'm an adventurer, a thrill seeker, willing to go where no man, or aquarist, has gone before.

Willing to tread new paths, follow new roads, to seek the truth.

Willing to stand face to face with the aquarium illumination Gods & say, go ahead & spite me, I fear no man nor machine, no photon or harmful light spectrum, no...

sorry, got a bit carried away.

How much did you pay? Can't see a price on their site.

Show pics when you get them set up, and how you like them. They seemed a bit under powered, so curious as to how well they perform for you.

sure will, when I get the time. :(

A bit under powered you think? They are a 120W per unit. Comparing them to the Kessil 360 tuna rated at 90W.

Using the 120 degree optic lens they have "an ideal coverage of" 27" x 27" by 25" depth. I'm using two Alphas on a tank 36" long x 18" x 18". I doubt I'll run either of them above 50%.

I'm going to upgrade eventually to a 48" x 24 x 24" tank, & I'm more than confident they will be more than enough for that tank.

But if I went to a 6 foot long tank I could just buy another unit, running three.
