Completely different light. We actually brought these in a while back before we released the Photon V2. We considered carrying them but decided not to- PAR was the biggest factor, they were very lacking in terms of light output. I am not sure if that has changed.
Thank you i plan to replace my 4 wifi black box lights at the end of the year. As of now your v2+ are the way i am leaning. I have 2 zetlight 6800a fixtures one on my refugeum and one on my coral qt. Good lights, i just dont like the big white puck sam as the maxspect. I figure those are hot spots.

Had the same problem, you can PM me if you are interested in the solution I found. I run 8 of these fixtures. Anyways I got some random mail about people posting so I figure here are some pics almost a year later

3 years strong, never an issue, I own multiple models
Thankyou. I've bought two Alpha 120's. I really like them, they seem well made and don't feel cheap.

Do you have much coral growth from them?

Are you using the generic settings or DIY?

Hello Guys,

I see this light too and i wont use it for my 30x30inch.

What you think? 2 Zeus 70 or 2 Alpha120 are enough for a mix of SPS/LPS?

You said you also had Alpha 120s ?

TbyZ,
I was going to pm you but couldn’t so hoping that you will see this question. I am so indecisive when it comes to lights I don’t feel the Ecotech while nice warrant the price along with Kessil and a few others. I have spent several weeks searching internet reading any and all information I could about the alpha-120’s. Anyway I’m not sure if you are still running yours. Either way I have a 30 deep tank that I’m getting ready to set up only lack lights and ATS. I’m planning a heavy sps the alphas seem to be to only one that can get decent PAR 20” down my main concern is I live in New Mexico it gets really hot hear in the summer. On my last tank it was a challenge to keep the water cool. The room where this tank will be is the last one on the A/C vent so while it’s not terribly hot in the room I really don’t want to add heat. So long story short, I know your running them around 39W I will easily be running them in the 70% range but do you feel like the alphas get hot?
