Leng Sy-Show off

In my experience, Leng Sy Cap is not a supper fast grower especially when compared with other caps. Also, it seems to prefer medium light. If you give it to much light, it can pale out.

Leng Sy Cap is very different from Purple Rimmed Green Cap. Green Cap grows very fast and has few if any vertical growth nodules. The OP's Leng Sy Cap is the real thing... I know.. because I gave it to him. :)

I think my boss has tons of it. We have grown a ton of frags of it, I'm not sure if he got it from Sanjay or Paletta as he is good friends with both. This was a piece that I saved and is taking over part of my rack shading out my mushrooms underneath.

Leng sy monti cap? Mines not huge but finally starting to plate around the edges. Hopefully another 6 months and ill have a nice size colony. The rim doesn't show great under my evening lighting in this photo. If I remember later I'll grab another shot of it. Its right behind the green slimer on the left.

This looks legit. Where did you get it, I need a frag!

I believe this is the stuff, bottom centre?

Agreed, i have a small frag, it's under med/high light and medium flow, not much growth, and it is a little pale. i'm going to try putting it in lower light and flow.

Mine is still high lighting and high flow. Ive got a couple chunks of it scrolling around acropora colonies. Makes for some nice mini colonies to sell. Grows well and has good color sitting in about 400par or more.

I got a piece of this from Leng Sy in my first years of the hobby, but can't recall what happened to it. I do remember it grew with a taller upward scroll look. A couple of years ago another reefer here in CA was tearing down his tank and selling a "Leng Sy Cap". I bought it, but not sure if it's true lineage. It does have all the characteristics but I'm not getting the upward growth which could be from flow or lighting or something else.
