Leopard wrasse not sleeping in sand

Hi so I just got a leopard wrasse into QT which is eating (good first start) but last night it slept on the bottom of the tank instead of in the tupperware container filled with sand I put in there for it.

It was its first night in there. Is there a way to show it where to sleep so it doesn't hurt itself on the glass?

If it's comfortable there for now I wouldn't worry about it too much. Does it have any pipes or anything it can hide in if need be? My guess is that it will take a few days to adjust and then go into the sand bed.

There are a few pieces of pvc. It actually slept wedged in the corner half under the pvc against the glass. It slept where other slime coccoon creating wrasses I have QTed have slept.

I wouldn't worry to much about it if it is active and eating during the waking hours and no signs of disease/infection.

Give it time. It is not unusual for them to not find the sand the first couple of days.

Yup, my leopard and melanurus didn't find the sand for a few days when they went through quarantine, but came out fine. Interesting story, I put them from their temporary home into their new big 250 gallon home with two 12x12" sand boxes and this time they found them the first day. So it takes time, but they'll find it eventually.
