Leopard Wrasse sudden issues, 2 years old.

So he’s breathing. I moved him from the display he was in, into a 5 gallon observation tank. All parameters match.

he started moving around oddly. Not sure what to do. No visible signs of injury or infection.

Any help would be appreciated.

This looks like a spinal cord injury from jumping.

Thank you @UncleSalty and @Big G for responding. Unfortunately she succumbed to whatever injury it was.

I closely looked over the body. No signs of anything parasitic or the like. I’m thinking some internal injury as well.

One strange thing was that I noticed the mouth was packed with something. can’t tell if it’s sand or something larger.Can they suffer from a water passage blockage that prevents air to gills? Seems unlikely, but seemed odd. Ugh.

How long did you have this fish? Did you QT this fish upon arrival? Where did you source it? Was it recently shipped via next day air?

If the mouth is obstructed, then she can died of hypoxemia. I would do an cut her up and see what choking her. She can died from that for sure.
Spinal injury is unlikely, she seem to move the body fine when she does swim.

I had the Wrasse since March 28th, 2018. Sourced from Divers Den. Full prophylactic QT treatment. I do this with all my fish. She was paired with another Wrasse who lives in my display.
