I removed the divider in the last section so I could run 2 Ecotech M2 pumps.

Here are my two Red Dragon 3 Speedys in the return section. Lots of room to spare.

Maybe if enough people give Bashsea the feedback of wanting to run two returns they will change the standard design..

Hah. Thanks. Yea I really wanted a DC pump and I have a ton of head pressure to overcome so they were actually one of the few pumps I could use (I think the only other pump that could handle the head pressure was an Abyzz but those are ridiculous)

I really don’t know about those red tubes yet. I got the pumps a couple days ago and haven’t had the chance to learn about them yet.

My only thought without looking it up would maybe be for cooling purposes but guess I could go look. I bought a varios 2 to replace a return pump but it couldn’t handle the head pressure paired with an ac pump. Went and grabbed another ac pump 1250gph and now I just use the Varios 2 for a water change pump lol. I’ll be wondering how those red dragon pumps work out for you.

The lines are for cooling the magnets of the impellers as well as preventing build up between the two so you can go longer without cleaning them. The Vectra L2 and abyzz pumps have internal water channels for the same purpose :)

I tried the slotted and it was noisy, I cut some regular pipe to be just about 1" under my water level and it works great now. I do use a bean animal drain just fyi

I'm using the provided slotted pipe and my sump is running quiet as a church mouse.

Debatimg what i want to do i could run a 30in signature with a klir 7 or get a smart series 30x18 and i would cut a little of the edging to make a clarisea tuck up closer into the corner

Last tank i had a smart series 36x18 and loved it but using socks with it was a pain in the a**
